Kanye West's Mom Ignored Surgery Advice

Kanye West's late mother ignored the advice of a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon in the weeks before her death, and that decision may have cost her her life.

Scholar Donda West died as the result of possible complications from a cosmetic surgical procedure in a Marina del Rey, California hospital on Saturday. But her death could have been avoided - if she'd heeded cosmetic surgeon Dr. Andre Aboolian's advice.

He claims West met with him to discuss breast reduction and a tummy tuck, and he refused to undertake the procedure, citing a medical condition. He tells TV news show Access Hollywood, "She needed what's called a medical clearance which just about anybody over the age of 40 is required to have. Because of Donda's age, she was required to get some cardiac clearance to make sure her heart is in good shape to go through for the surgery...

A) Why is it necessary to draft a bill specially to crack down on violent activists? We already have laws in which violence is disciplined. So why target activists, specifically?

B) What is the implication of the words in the title, "And For Other Purposes"? Those remain unspecified throughout the entire text of the bill. That leaves a conveniently open-ended interpretation to.... Let the imagination wander: Anything goes.

C) "Radicalization" is not defined in the bill. So politicians can (and will) conveniently interpret what that means. Nobody wants to be publicly exposed for his or her wrongdoings, especially corrupt politicians. Of which there are many.

D) The bill creates a Commission to study the thoughts giving rise to "ideologically based violence", which "means the use, planned use, or threatened use of force or violence by a group or individual to promote the group or individual's political, religious or social beliefs".

Patients losing faith in the NHS, claims survey

Growing concern among the public about falling standards in the NHS is revealed in a new health survey.

Despite the huge amounts invested in the health service by the Government in recent years, fears over its future continue to grow among patients.

The survey's findings show high levels of concern across the entire health service.

He's a keeper

It took Andrew Bynum 17 years to become a wanted NBA commodity; it took 24 seconds to become a punch line. That's all Kobe Bryant needed to tell a couple of amateur video makers in a shopping center parking lot that the Lakers should "ship out" their young center if it would bring someone such as Jason Kidd in return.

But one month into 2007-08 season, it appears general manager Mitch Kupchak, in refusing to part with Bynum for Kidd at last season's trade deadline, may not have been as incompetent as Bryant suggested he was in the same video.

In his third NBA season, Bynum, who turned 20 in October, is more than holding his own against men a decade older. Following Tuesday's victory against the Sonics, Bynum was averaging 11.1 points on 58.5 percent shooting, 10.1 rebounds and 1.4 blocks a game.

It's OK to feel Gay:)! by TM

I FEEL scared, I FEEL happy, I FEEL angry, I FEEL surprised...

(please note: if you think you "feel" like gays are evil - that's actually a judgement - not a feeling - if you can replace "feel" with "think" and it still makes sense then you have expressed a judgement, not a feeling)

Example:

I "feel" angry - I "think" angry - doesn't work...

I "feel" hate - I "think" hate - does work...despite the bad grammer - it's the logic...

Now on to the rest of the first split first second...

Now we can start making some judgements - choices - what do we do about our feeling(s)? How do we react? Do we freeze - like a deer in the headlights? Do we move? Should we have gay sex? Some reactions are "instinctual" you may say - but I submit (it's just my opinion, yes) that that's really still just part of the emotion - instincts only last for a split second - and then it's immediately on to choices, choices, choices- and you have many millions of choices at this point...

Differences Between Laser Eyelid Surgery and Traditional Eyelid ...

Safety! When incorporated into the Blepharoplasty procedure, the CO2 laser maximizes the safety of the procedure while minimizing the swelling and bruising that can occur afterwards.

The CO2 laser is used as a surgical tool and as it makes the incision or goes through the excess fat it immediately welds or seals the blood vessels thereby decreasing the risk of bleeding during the procedure. The eye is located in a tight bony compartment and we want to minimize the chances of any blood getting into the space between the bone and the eye. Since the bone cannot expand, blood in that space could potentially cause pressure on the eye itself. The CO2 laser greatly reduces this risk, thus making for a very safe procedure. Dr. Warren Lent, a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, uses specially developed instruments, which completely protect the eye from the laser during the procedure.
